Head of Product Management - New Product Ventures
Some people manage products. Others shape what's next. If you're the latter, we'd like to meet you.
EMRI develops advanced control and navigation systems for large commercial vessels. Our products are installed on some of the world's most demanding ships, where reliability, safety and precision are essential. EMRI's systems ensure precise navigation and thus better utilization of the ships' fuel, leading to reduction of CO2 emissions. That is something we are proud of.
As part of the Furuno Group, one of the world's leading suppliers of maritime electronics, we are investing significantly in the next generation of maritime technologies. Our ambition is to establish EMRI as Furuno's global centre of excellence for advanced control and navigation systems while expanding our portfolio of innovative products.
To support this journey, we are looking for an ambitious Head of Product Management - New Product Ventures who wants to help shape the next generation of EMRI's products and business.
The Role
Your first assignment will be to develop the commercial and strategic foundation for one of EMRI's most important future product initiatives. Working across technology, markets and business strategy, you will help define the product vision, business case, development roadmap and investment proposal that will form the basis for future investment decisions within the Furuno Group.
Following this initial assignment, you will transition into a broader role with a general responsibility for product management within EMRI.

Developing and maintaining product roadmaps
Understanding customer needs and market trends
Prioritising product development together with Engineering
Supporting successful product launches
Driving the long-term commercial success of your product portfolio
3. Help build Product Management as a core capability.

Establishing structured Product Management practices
Strengthening collaboration across Engineering, Commercial and Operations
Supporting long-term portfolio planning and investment decisions
Contributing to the continued development of EMRI's Product Management function
Who you will work with
You will report to the General Manager Commercial and work closely with the entire Management Team, including the CEO, as well as engineering, sales and international colleagues across the Furuno Group.
This role offers significant exposure to strategic decision-making and the opportunity to influence the future direction of both EMRI and our global product portfolio.
You should expect up to 15 travel days per year.
About You

You are curious, analytical and capable of transforming complex technical opportunities into compelling business propositions.
Ideally, you have:
A Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field
Several years of experience in Product Management, Business Development, Strategy Consulting or a similar role
