We are looking for a new member in our hardware design team. Join us and be a part of designing our next gen hardware platform spanning from embedded microcontrollers to SMPS and analogue IO.
EMRI is following a four-year investment plan, funded by our mother company Furuno. We are doubling the number of employees and building a completely new maritime product portfolio designed for autonomous ships.
You will be participating in creating some exciting new products that will literally steer the maritime industry and contribute to reducing the energy consumption in maritime transportation.

The role
You will be member of the hardware team, participating in all phases of development, from idea to production.
You will be a part of designing our new modular hardware platform spanning from HMI panels, controllers to specialized IO modules. We are working with SMPS, ARM MCU’s, Ethernet, CAN-bus, and various serial communication standards.
We work from home on a regular basis. Just more productive to be flexible - both for the job and the family. Long hours are not expected and weekends are quiet. That said, there will be times where we need everybody on deck. But we work hard to avoid it.
About you
You hold a bachelor's degree or higher in electronics. You can work independently, structured and have a solution-oriented approach to projects. Furthermore, you are focused, energetic and see strength in knowledge sharing.
Your imagine that you have experience from:
- Embedded design MCU/CPU.
- Analogue and digital electronics design.
- SMPS design/specification.
- Electronics hands-on troubleshooting.
- Design for EMC compatibility.
- Power management and thermal management.
- Altium designer or similar.
It is a definite plus if you have:
- Worked with maritime systems before.
- Experience from designing distributed redundant system.
If you have experience in purchasing standard components, it is an advantage.
